History.

In 2014, the fully-electric racing series debuted with its first-ever race in Beijing. The series has established itself as a global event ever since. In FIA Formula E, races are primarily held on specifically designed tracks within urban centers, making its host cities as well as its communities front and center of the action.

Innovative technology, intense races, excited fans: FIA Formula E engages a global audience. The racing series features 12 teams with 24 drivers across 14 races. Taking the action to urban centers, racing makes its way towards its fans - not the other way around.

While every team on the grid is driving a Gen2 car, power units may be developed individually to embrace every team's technological expertise.

Season 6.

Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team joins the racing series.

Since the start of Season 6, the Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team is part of FIA Formula E action.

With Stoffel Vandoorne, who already has experience as a Formula 1 driver, and Formula 2 Champion Nyck de Vries, the team boasts an impressive dirvers' lineup in its debut season, already achieving a podium in Season 6.
